ASHLAND, Ky. — Ashland’s rapidly-growing craft beer festival will include more brews and perks than ever before when it hits downtown again this summer.
The fourth-annual Firkin Fest is on tap for June 16 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
More than 100 unique craft beers will be flowing from kegs as live music blasts from local artists and local merchants line up and down Winchester Avenue.
Craft breweries that plan to bring brews specifically made for the festival include Newport based Braxton Brewing Company, and Lexington-based Country Boy Brewing and West Sixth Brewing.
General admission ticket includes 10 craft beer tasting tickets and official Firkin Fest mini mug.
VIP ticket includes 10 craft beer tasting tickets and official Firkin Fest mini mug and early bird admission begins at 1 p.m.; VIP limited edition T-shirt, access to exclusive VIP lounge and amenities, VIP only parking and access to rare and limited-edition beers, as well as firkins made exclusively for VIP guests.
“New to this year’s event are exclusive and private VIP amenities, which includes an air-conditioned tent, private seating, samplings of rare and limited-edition craft beers, access to firkins made exclusively for the festival, and VIP-only food vendors,” said Ashland in Motion Director Whitney Lowe.
