ZOOMING ALONG

Good afternoon from the desk of the Alliance. After having last Friday off for the July 4th weekend it is time to get back at it! I have a couple themes that will be persistent today. All of us have to be flexible and amend how we deliver what we do. My second point is we will get through this and see the other side.

A week ago, we hosted two ribbon cuttings, one for Christian Alexander Home Decor and one for Bombshells and Ales. Both of which had great attendances. It’s wonderful to see another new store and a another new restaurant in our area. The events were live streamed on Facebook and had over 1000 views in just a few days! For these businesses this is a home run. We also concentrated on media and the press releases that followed. Just like you and your business we are changing how we offer you and your business a window to the community.

We did not need or want this pandemic in anyway. It has however forced all of us to look at our operations and find new ways to provide our services and deliver the value that the community needs. This is what we are doing for you. Please reach out to Kari or Susan and let them find a way to show the world what you have to offer. You may be surprised what a fresh look and a new set of eyes can do for you!

In this new normal there are activities that we cannot do as we’ve done in the past. Over the next few weeks, decisions have to be made on many of the services that the Alliance and our partners have been offering for years. We have your best interest at heart and will be here to get all of us to the other side. There is an old saying, ‘never waste a good crisis.’ Maybe that should be the theme of the day. We can help your business not only get through this but freshen up a bit in the process. Reach out to us today.

Finally, the Alliance has open board member seats. Life has taken a few of our board members away from us and it’s time to bring on new faces and new ideas. Please send me a letter of interest or an email if you would like to be considered by the nominating committee. All I need is a one page or less of why you would like to be considered for the Ashland Alliance Board and that you or your company is a member in good standing. We need and want your voice.

Thank you for the opportunity to help make this community the best it can be and to share it with the world.
